How is IDS priced?
A flat platform fee plus a per-active-driver rate. Office staff and customer-portal users are unlimited and free — you only pay for drivers who actually run in a given period.
What does “never metered” mean?
Routing, the customer portal, notifications, scanning, POD photos, the live tracking page and support are all included. We don’t bill per stop, per scan, per message or per lookup — so growth never inflates your invoice in surprising ways.
Do you charge per return?
No. Returns and reverse logistics are included from the Complete plan onward, and they’re never metered. You can bill your own customers for returns as a service — without us billing you for each one.
Can you move us off our current system without downtime?
Yes — that’s the IDS Switch. We bring your data and EDI connections across, rebuild your key reports, and run IDS in parallel with your existing system until you’re confident enough to cut over.
How do you prove chain of custody for regulated goods?
Every handoff is captured as an append-only custody scan. Milestones lock as they’re reached, producing tamper-evident proof of delivery. It works offline, so custody is captured even in dead zones and syncs when signal returns.
Does the driver app work with no signal?
Yes. CoStop is offline-first: scans, photos and captures hold on the device and sync automatically when signal returns. Drivers keep working; nothing is lost.
Is IDS owned by a private-equity firm?
No. IDS has been founder-run since 2007 — the last founder-led, courier-only platform among systems that have been rolled up into private-equity firms and ERP giants.
